Candace Cameron Bure Spokesperson for Hallmark Channel’s Pet Project

For eight seasons she warmed our hearts as D.J. Tanner on the family-friendly sitcom Full House, and now actress Candace Cameron Bure has touched the hearts of animal lovers for joining Hallmark Channel’s ongoing efforts to find forever homes for orphan dogs and cats.

The actress has stepped into the role of spokesperson for Hallmark Channel’s Pet Project, an ongoing initiative which promotes the option of adoption through partnerships with PetSmart Charities and the American Humane Association, local grass-roots events and by shining a spotlight on the subject with programming such as as the Hero Dog Awards and PSAs from its roster of stars. (Look for DogTipper news features in the days ahead which will highlight other animal-loving luminaries who have filmed PSA for the paws cause.)

Fans of Spots and the Make It or Break It star can catch Candace Cameron Bure’s performance on September 8th at 9/8c in the Rover-related romance Puppy Love, a Hallmark Channel original movie which also stars rescue dog BugZ.
