Dog Stars Celebrate Release of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3

Movie star Spots and a reality TV Rover lapped up the limelight as they chowed down on doggie delicacies during a  puppy ‘paw’ty to celebrate the recent release of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva la Fiesta on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital.

Rusco and Angel, the talented tail-waggers who portray the husband and wife doggie duo Papi and Chloe in the Fido-themed franchise, enjoyed the opportunity to mull over the menu at the upscale eatery Villa Blanca with none other than proprietor Lisa Vanderpump’s high-profile Pomeranian, Giggy from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Janet, the barking buddy of Bravo star Jenni Pulos from the series Flipping Out.

While children will be cheering for the canine actors’ antics in the new Disney comedy, dog devotees are applauding the fact that 95 per cent of the Spots seen on the screen are rescue dogs. Rusco (aka Papi) was saved from a kill shelter by trainer Mike Alexander when he spotted the dog’s photogenic features on, and not only is the option of adoption promoted at the end of Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva la Fiesta, the film’s recent screening at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena helped a bevy of barking buddies, including Little Orphan Annie– a dog who lived through the devastation of Hurricane Katrina– feel like a star with an afternoon of pampering.
