New York’s Funniest Reporter Show Benefits Humane Society of New York

Television and magazine journalists turned jesters will enjoy applause for a paws cause on September 27th at the 7th annual New York’s Funniest Reporter Show comedy competition showdown.

Taking place at the Comic Strip Live comedy club, six media professionals will prove that they are real stand up guys (and gals) in every sense of the word as they perform five minute-long, rib-tickling routines to raise funds for the Humane Society of New York.

The following reporters will be bringing the funny for the sake of orphan Fidos and felines:

Clayton Morris (FOX News Channel)
Dr. Manny Alvarez (FOX News Channel)
Michele Steele (ESPN)
Marianne Garvey (In Touch Magazine)
Greg Kelly (FOX 5 NY)
Lauren Lyster (RT America)

Also taking the stage for our tail-wagging chums will be the 2011 champion of New York’s Funniest Reporter Show, Marlaina Schaivo, who will perform, but not compete; and wrestling legend, multi best-selling author and comedian Mick Foley will also make a special guest appearance.

“This is one the most exciting lineups we’ve ever had. With the exception of our returning champion, all participants will be making their inaugural debut in the show.” Said Mark Goldman, New York’s Funniest Reporter Show Co-Producer. “It never ceases to amaze us how brave these individuals are and what they’re willing to do for such a worthy cause.”

Comic Ray Ellin will host the event, which will be judged by Judith Regan and Jeffrey Gurian.

When: September 27, 2012 at 8 p.m.

Where: Comic Strip Live at 1568 Second Avenue in New York City
