Paralympic Swimmer Emma Hollis To Attend Dogs Trust Loughborogh Event

She may not have won a gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympic games, but nine-time European medalist and two-time World Record holder Emma Hollis already has a heart of gold.

Prior to taking the plunge at the games, the star swimmer stopped by Dogs Trust Loughborough to meet the Rovers residing at the charity’s 18th UK rehoming center, which opened its doors in June, and on September 30th the Paralympian will cheer for the canines taking part in Loughborough Doggy Sports Day.

The British athlete– who sponsors a Spot at Dogs Trust– will be a judge at the event’s Fun Dog Show. Other activities that animal lovers can look forward to on the day will be a Doggy Dash, a kid’s craft corner, a bouncy castle and a raffle.

Funds raised will benefit the orphan Fidos at the new Dogs Trust facility in Loughborough. In all, Dogs Trust branches throughout the United Kingdom care for approximately 16,000 abandoned dogs annually.

Admission: £1 for adults; children under the age of 12 free

When: September 30, 2012 from noon – 4 p.m.

Where: Wysall Lane in Wymeswold, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England
