Barry Manilow Gift of Love II Helps Animal Organizations

He writes the songs that make the whole world sing, and now pop icon Barry Manilow has put a song in the hearts of animal lovers.

On December 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th and 16th the Grammy-winning recording artist will wow the crowd with his hits and holiday favorites at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California during a five-night philanthropic concert series, “Gift of Love II.”

Giving back to the community that he calls home, the “Copacabana” singer– who raised almost a half million dollars for Coachella Valley charities by raising the roof during the first “Gift of Love” concert event in 2009– will sing in support of 27 area charities. Among the non-profits that will benefit from “Gift of love II” are several animal-related organizations, including Advancing the Interests of Animals, Animal Samaritans, Guide Dogs of the Desert and Paws and Hearts. Proceeds from the concerts will will divided among all 27 chosen charities.
