Emmylou Harris To Host Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Rescue Holiday Benefit

Her singing and songwriting skills have garnered her 12 Grammy Awards over the course of her career, but it’s been her dogged devotion to pets in peril which has won her the collective heart of animal lovers. The founder of Bonaparte’s Retreat, which saves the lives of dogs who are facing the end of their days at Metro Nashville Animal Control, Harris is inviting all those with a passion for compassion to a holiday happening with heart.

Fans of famous faces and Fidos can enjoy a day filled with toe-tapping (and tail-wagging!) tunes benefiting the star’s non-profit at the third annual Miracle on Music Row event, which will include a pet parade with an appearance by the singer and Santa; dogs showing off their duds at the pet costume contest; a silent auction; photos with jolly old Saint Nick; food, seasonal shopping and a concert featuring the following performers:

Emmylou Harris
Sam Bush
Rodney Crowell
Mike Farris
John Hiatt
Buddy Miller
Kimmie Rhodes

Miracle on Music Row is a free event, but a donation of $20 is suggested.

When: December 15, 2012 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Where: O.liv Body Bar in Edgehill Village at 1200 Villa Place, Ste 404 in Nashville, Tennessee
