Looking to Adopt? Rescues at Holiday Pet Expo

As we mentioned in a previous post, we’re Official Blog Ambassadors for Amazing Pet Expos along with PrestonSpeaks.com. We’ll be kicking off this new ambassadorship with the Holiday Pet Expo in Dallas this Saturday! Please be sure to stop by our booth and say hi; Rachel and I will also be speaking about saving money on pet care and pet travel at 3:45pm!

Along with lots of vendors, the expo also features many, many rescues, a great opportunity if you’re considering adding a furry family member to your household. Check out the list of exhibitors for a full list of rescues but we’d like to highlight just a few here today. As you know, we’re especially partial to mixed breed dogs so we wanted to spotlight a few of the rescues that will have some great mixed breed pups available for adoption:

A Different Breed Rescue

This rescue is filled with adoptables that have been pulled from kill shelters in the DFW area (as well as rescues from puppy mill raids and breeder releases, if you’re looking for a purebred.) Here’s just one example of a pup with A Different Breed Rescue looking for a forever home; this is Coco (right), a blue heeler and Lab mix!

Dallas Animal Services

Dallas Animal Services has hundreds of adoptables in shelter care. Here’s little Dasher (left), one of many dogs in search of a forever home.

DFW Rescue Me

This all-volunteer rescue has numerous great mixes like Collin, another heeler mix (can you tell I’m partial to heeler mixes??)

Hound Haven

Another all-volunteer rescue, this Lewisville-based nonprofit rescues all breeds and breed mixes from the North Texas area…dogs like super cute Minnie, today’s *Adoptable* Dog of the Day!

These are just a FEW of the many rescues that will be at the show on Saturday. If you come by the Holiday Pet Expo, please drop by Booth 310 to see us!
