The holiday season is a time of miracles, and today 67 shelter puppies and dogs– and one lucky cat– are enjoying a new lease on life at the aptly named Miracle Ranch thanks in part to a former reality TV star who is helping to create a better reality for pets in peril.

Joining the Thanksgiving 2012 Animal Aid Caravan, Prince Lorenzo Borghese– star of The Bachelor season nine and founder of Royal Pet Club line of all-natural pet products–  recently took part in the 1,600 mile trek which Animal Aid USA makes every 30 days from New Jersey to Liberty County, Georgia to transport shelter animals in rural Georgia communities to a safe haven and bring thousands of pounds of donated dog food and supplies to pets in need.

Prince Lorenzo Borghese donates five percent of profits from his Royal Pet Club product line, plus $2 for every new customer, to Animal Aid USA. Founded in 2011 by Borghese and Karen Talbot LaSasso, Animal Aid USA is an all volunteer, not-for-profit animal rights and rescue agency which transports dogs from high-kill shelters to Miracle Ranch, a fostering facility where the canines receive veterinary care and are photographed and sent to Animal Aid USA’s participating adoption partners.
