Baseball Star Felix Hernandez Promotes Adoption Option

In August 2012 he pitched the 23rd perfect game in the history of Major League Baseball, and at year’s end Felix Hernandez of the Seattle Mariners is pitching the option of adoption to potential pet parents for the sake of homeless animals who have been thrown a curve ball by life.

A proud pet parent and spokesperson for The Humane Society of Seattle/King County, ‘King Felix’ reminds potential pet parents who want to start 2013 with a new furry family member to step up to the plate and search at their local shelter.

Founded in 1897, The Humane Society of Seattle/King County saved almost 6,000 animals in need in 2012. The following video, featuring the organization’s CEO David Loewe, offers a closer look at The Seattle Humane Society’s efforts:
