Each week on the History Channel Mike Wolfe discovers rare finds in what others have abandoned, and in a new PSA the star of American Pickers is helping to shine a spotlight on true American treasures who have been thoughtlessly discarded by those unable to see their real worth.
The reality personality recently stepped in front of the camera with two rescued Rovers to promote a positive image of Pit Bulls. Lapping up the limelight in the public service announcement are Samantha and Shay, who were saved from the horrors of a Tennessee dog fighting operation by Cheatham County Animal Control and members of Animal Rescue Corps.
The PSA premiered at Nashville Paw Foundation’s annual Art for Animals benefit, which took place on February 2nd in Franklin, Tennessee. Hosted this year by the American Pickers star, the event raised funds for Nashville Paw Foundation’s ongoing efforts to curb the problem of pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.
