Soap Star Melissa Claire Egan Raises Funds in Fight Against Pet Cancer

A star in America’s number one rated daytime drama is helping to lessen the real life drama that pet parents endure following a diagnosis of canine cancer.

Showing her support for The Riedel & Cody Fund, animal-loving luminary Melissa Claire Egan is auctioning off a personally guided behind the scenes look at The Young & The Restless.

The person who places the highest bid in the Charitybuzz auction and one friend will enjoy a backstage peek at CBS Television City in Hollywood complete with photos with some of the cast on set, a stroll among the styles worn by Genoa City’s citizens in the show’s wardrobe department, and the chance to watch the cast and crew in action as an episode of the show is taped.

Benefiting from the auction, The Riedel & Cody Fund– which has also received celebrity support from actress Sharon Lawrence and Cheap Trick frontman Robin Zander — helps the pet parents of companion animals striken with cancer cope through support, resources and treatment funding.

Bidding on the tour set ends February 18th at 3 p.m. ET.
