A major league baseball team named after the largest cat species will show their dogged devotion for Detroit’s canines in need during Animal Rescue Charity Night at Comerica Park.

Stepping up to the plate to help Detroit Dog Rescue, the Detroit Tigers will take on the Kansas City Royals on April 24th.

For each $29 ticket package (which includes a Detroit Tigers dog bandanna,) $5 will be donated to Detroit Dog Rescue, a non-profit organization co-founded by actor/rapper Daniel “Hush” Carlisle and Emmy-nominated Executive Producer Monica Martino which helps to raise awareness of the more than 50,000 destitute dogs living on the streets of Detroit as it strives toward the creation of a no-kill shelter.

When:  April 24, 2013 at 7:05 p.m.

Where:  Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan
