Baseball buffs can take their barking buddies out to the ball game and help a paws cause in the process when the Durham Bulls hosts Bark in the Park at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Triple-A minor league team will go to bat against the Charlotte Knights on April 17th, and no matter which team ends up victorious the real winners will be adorable adoptables.
Also scoring a home run in the hearts of dog devotees, the K9 Crew Frisbee Dogs will entertain fans with performances during select inning breaks throughout the game.
Tickets are available for $10.99 for a person and their pup for seats in Sections 132 or 134 of the Outfield Reserve, or $25 tickets for a person and their pup for seats in the same section, along with a two-hour, all-you-can-eat picnic buffet including hot dogs, hamburgers, friend chicken, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, chips and dip, washed down with Pepsi products.
From every ticket purchased, $5 will be donated to Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a no-kill shelter which has helped homeless dogs and cats since 1989.
Can’t make it to the April 17th game? You won’t be in the dog house with your sports-loving Spot, as the Durham Bulls will host another Bark in the Park on June 19th.
