Online Celebrity Auction Benefits Tony La Russa’s ARF

Always stepping up to the plate to help animals in need, Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is auctioning off celebrity and sports-related items for a paws cause.

Through April 22nd fans of Fidos, felines and famous faces can place bids on eBay for any of the following items:

  • A Redline single speed cruiser bicycle autographed by Academy Award winner (and performer at ARF’S recent Stars to the Rescue benefit) Robin Williams, who included the message “Ride on!” The bike comes with a letter from Tony La Russa to verify the authenticity of both the cycle and signature.
  • A Sporting News Archives Collection Stan Musial Scrapbook, a hardcover book complete with more than 300 pages of press clippings about the St. Louis Cardinals legend from the Sporting News; and an 8 X 10 photo of the baseball great at the 1968 dedication of his statue at Busch Memorial Stadium.
  • Two MVP Infield tickets to see the Oakland Athletics face the St. Louis Cardinals on June 28, 2013 at the Coliseum in Oakland, California; one VIP parking pass for the game, and baseballs autographed by Brett Anderson, the starting pitcher for the Oakland Athletics, and Adam Wainwright, the starting pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.
  • Offering food for thought along with a meal, a party of four can enjoy a continental breakfast and tour of Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Walnut Creek, California with sports icon Tony La Russa.

100% of the final price of each auction lot will benefit ARF, which was founded by Tony La Russa and his wife Elaine in 1991 to help save dog and cats who are facing their fate in shelters.
