Beth Stern Visits Best Friends Animal Society

Share with fellow dog lovers!

As the author of Oh My Dog and the host of the Nat Geo Wild series Spoiled Rotten Pets, multi-pet parent Beth Stern is a pal to all with paws, and the animal advocate recently made some new four-legged friends when she paid a visit to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah.

The wife of America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern toured all of the sanctuary’s animal care areas, and in the process met many of the 1,700 canines, cats, horses and other companion animals who currently reside at the renowned rescue facility, such as Merry and Chester.

Saved from a Los Angeles shelter, Merry– a six-year-old Boxer– wants nothing more than to play fetch with her toys and become best buddies with everyone she meets, while Chester– a seven-year-old Boxer mix– is an excitable people pleaser who also loves to lounge about and ‘work on his tan’ in the sunshine.

Beth Stern is just the latest animal-loving luminary to stop by Best Friends Animal Shelter in Utah. NASCAR star Ryan Newman (who is also the founder of The Ryan Newman Foundation, which is currently constructing a rescue ranch) stopped by in March 2012, and in May 2013 Jackson Galaxy, the star of the Animal Planet series My Cat from Hell, promoted Best Friends Animal Society’s sleepover program.
