Fans of classic television know her from her stints in such ’70s and ’80s series as Vega$, BJ and the Bear, The Love Boat and Madame’s Place, but on August 3rd actress Judy Landers-Niedenfuer will step into her real life role as an animal advocate as she co-chairs Yappy Hour 2013.
Having passed on a passion for compassion to the next generation, the star’s daughters Kristy and Lindsey Landers-Niedenfuer from the pop-rock band Official Hot Mess (whose music has been heard of MTV’s The Hills, Jersey Shore and My Super Sweet 16) are co-chairs for the event, which will take place at pet-friendly Clayton’s Siesta Grille and will include a gourmet buffet, unlimited beer and wine, a silent auction, raffle and live blues tunes performed by Twinkle, all for a paws cause.
All of the proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Satchel’s Last Resort, an animal shelter/sanctuary in Sarasota, Florida which offers a forever home to dogs and cats who have been determined to be unadoptable as well as a temporary haven for Fidos and felines who are hoping to find pet parents.
Tickets: $75 per adult; $20 per guest for those under the age of 21 (Tickets available online and at the door)
When: August 3, 2013 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Clayton’s Siesta Grille at 1256 Old Stickney Point Road in Sarasota, Florida
