Sports fans are invited to take their tail-wagging chums out to the old ball game and cheer for the Arizona Diamondbacks as the major league team hosts their second Bark in the Park of the season.
Before the D-Backs play ball against the Rockies, pet parents and their pooches can show their team spirit in a Puppy Rally, check out a vendor fair, and promenade on the Chase Field warning track in a Puppy Parade.
Baseball buffs and their barking buddies will be sitting in the catbird seat when they take their places in the bleachers, picnic pavilion or baseline reserve.
In the end, no matter which team comes out on top, the real winners of Bark in the Park are the adoptable dogs and cats at The Arizona Animal Welfare League (the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter), which will receive $5 from each ticket sold.
Tickets: Baseline Reserve: $25 person, $25 dog; Picnic Pavilion: $20 person, $20 dog; Bleachers: $18 person, $18 dog
When: September 15, 2013 (Puppy Rally starts at 11 a.m.; game begins at 1:10 p.m.)
Where: Chase Field at 401 East Jefferson Street in Phoenix, Arizona
