A far out Fido-themed festival, dogs will dig the 9th annual WoofStock– a day devoted to peace, love and puppy power hosted by The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance.
Celebrity Spotting
- A star of the classic family-friendly series Lassie, Jon Provost cares for our four-legged friends off screen as well. An advocate on the Board of Directors for Canine Companions for Independence, at the event the former child actor will sign copies of his autobiography, Timmy’s in the Well.
- Hollywood dog trainer Bob Weatherwax, who has coached celebrity Spots seen in Married with Children, The Magic of Lassie, Who’s the Boss and other movies and TV series, will meet with fans.
- Touching the hearts of Rover-loving readers, Oogy’s tale of tragedy and ultimate triumph spent 10 weeks on the New York Times best seller list. Attendees can meet Oogy and his pet parent Larry and purchase a copy of Oogy: The Dog Only a Family Could Love for a paw cause. Proceeds will benefit The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance’s “De-Sex in the City” spay/neuter program.
- Fans of felines can meet Patti Tingen, the author of He Was Never a Cat, during a book signing.

- Photogenic Fidos and felines can enter the Adoptable Hot Dawgs Cool Cats Photo Contest.
- Cheer for the stylish Spots in the Marvelous Makeover/K9 Rescue Edition.
- Looking to share your life with an out of sight Spot? Potential pet parents can meet adorable adoptables from the following rescues: Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Inc., Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, Compassionate Hearts Animal Rescue, Hillside SPCA, Keystone Greyhounds, Mason Dixon Bernese Mountain Dog Club Rescue, National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network, PAWS, Speranza Animal Rescue and The Dog’s Den.

A happening with heart, proceeds from WoofStock will benefit The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance’s “De-Sex in the City” spay/neuter fund.
