Judge Annemarie Lucas meets a fashion forward Fido who hopes to be dubbed top dog at the event:
Both Rovers from area rescues and Spots with pet parents who have a dogged determination to help a paws cause stepped out in style as they strolled in front of Evan Michaelson and Mike Zohn from the hit Science Channel series Oddities, Annemarie Lucas of the Animal Planet series Animal Precinct and acclaimed pet couturier Anthony Rubio, who chose the winners of the Best Dressed Owner and Pet Duo, Best Vintage Carnival Costume and Most Creative Costume.

Along with three cash prizes awarded to rescue dogs, all winners received prize baskets filled with gifts from the show sponsors: pet greeting card and custom pet stationery company Sent-Well.com; premium show sponsor Wash n’ Wiggle; Pup Culture Magazine; K9 Resorts Fairfield; Bubba Rose Biscuit Co; Luxe Mutt; Big Cat Coffee; Pawsitive Experience Pet Services; EKammeyer Accessories; My Limousine Inc. and JB Ranch Ohio.
In all more than 1,500 animal lovers and 750 Fidos attended Mutts Mania, which raised funds for Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, a non-profit animal welfare organization in East Hanover, New Jersey which has provided comfort and care for homeless dogs and cats for more than 40 years.
