Norman The Scooter Dog Helps Road Trip Home Animal Rescue

Share with fellow dog lovers!

gI_86313_Norman-the-Scooter-dog1Taking the message to help pets in peril to the streets of Kennesaw, Georgia, the fastest Fido on four wheels is preparing to show off his scooter-riding skills for a paws cause.

On September 16, 2013 fans of Norman The Scooter Dog– a tail-wagger whose talents have been showcased on such shows as Who Let The Dogs Out, Good Morning America, The Late Show with David Letterman and Inside Edition— will entertain a canine-loving crowd at the Mellow Mushroom pizzeria to raise funds for Road Trip Home Animal Rescue.

Far from the first time that the rolling Rover has used his celebrity status to shine a spotlight on the Georgia all-volunteer rescue organization, in July 2013 Norman’s successful Guinness Book of World Records attempt to become the fastest dog to ride 30m on a scooter in under 30 seconds also raised both funds for, and awareness of, Road Trip Home Animal Rescue.

Tickets are $20 for adults, and includes an all you can eat pizza special and two Red Hare brews, while a $8 ticket for children ages 12 and under includes the pizza special and a fountain drink.

All of the proceeds from the event will support Road Trip Home Animal Rescue’s ongoing efforts to save as many of the more than 250,000 homeless dogs and cats who are facing their fate each year in Georgia kill shelters as they can and transport them to no-kill shelters in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Maine or Canada, where demand for shelter animals is high.

When: September 16, 2013 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Where: Mellow Mushroom at 1133 Chastain Road in Kennesaw, Georgia
