Applauding new pet parents for choosing the option of adoption, the Broadway production of ANNIE is celebrating Adopt-a-Dog month by offering tickets to the Tony Award®-winning musical to New York City-area dog devotees who welcome an orphan Fido into their heart and home by the end of October.
From October 15th through the 31st, animal lovers who adopt a dog from one of the following select shelters and rescues (each of which is a member of the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals) will receive a voucher for two tickets to see Tony Award® winner Faith Prince as Miss Hannigan, Anthony Warlow as Daddy Warbucks, 12-year-old Taylor Richardson as Annie and Sunny– a dog whose ‘hard-knock life’ led her to a Houston shelter, where she was just two days away from facing her fate before she was plucked for stardom– in the heart-warming family favorite this November:
- The Humane Society of New York
- New York Animal Care and Control
- Animal Haven
- Sean Casey Animal Rescue
- Louie’s Legacy
(More participating shelters will soon be announced via social media.)
Raising the curtain on a new “Tomorrow” for shelter dogs, ANNIE has also partnered with Pedigree® Brand for the “See the Show, Help a Dog” initiative, with Pedigree® Brand donating $2 for each ANNIE the Musical ticket sold from its debut through December 31, 2013 (for a total of up to $1 million) to the Pedigree Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping dogs find loving homes. Broadway buffs with a love for our barking buddies can also purchase co-branded merchandise either at Broadway’s Palace Theatre, the home of ANNIE on Broadway, or online, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Foundation.
