As you know, we love Rug Doctor (and Paris is part of the Rug Doctor Roundtable). We’ve often talked about both the Rug Doctor machines that are great for cleaning your home’s carpet but also the products that are great for traveling with your pets and cleaning up any potential messes that could cause you to lose your pet deposit at a hotel. And we also love the work of ASPCA (and earlier this year even co-hosted a Twitter party for them to celebrate Valentine’s!)
Now the work of these two giants is coming together in Rug Doctor’s year-long commitment to support the fight against animal cruelty. Rug Doctor is now offering a second round of coupons to directly benefit the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), the first animal welfare organization in North America.
Through its “Rug Doctor to the Rescue” program (#RDToTheRescue), which launched in May, Rug Doctor has committed $100,000 to the ASPCA through the sale of its pet cleaning products.
From Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2013, Rug Doctor will donate $1 to the ASPCA for each redemption of specially marked coupons for Pet Formula Carpet Cleaner and Urine Eliminator™.
The coupons offer consumers savings of $3 off the purchase of Pet Formula Cleaner and $2 off the purchase of Urine Eliminator. Both Rug Doctor products are specifically designed for pet owners to help remove pet odors and stains on carpet and upholstery.
“A large percentage of both our employees and customers are pet parents, and we’re proud to join with them to help support the ASPCA,” said Walter Haug, vice president of marketing at Rug Doctor. “We’ve had a very positive response during the last several months from consumers who are as passionate about supporting the ASPCA’s mission as we are. Together, we can bring more awareness to this worthy cause and raise funds for the animals that need it most.”
“We are grateful for Rug Doctor’s support that will allow its customers to do good while they shop,” said Elysia Howard, vice president of marketing and licensing for the ASPCA. “The ‘Rug Doctor to the Rescue’ program will directly impact our work nationwide helping animals in need.”
