Stars Attend Dogs for the Deaf Fundraiser

410WFva2aVLCelebrating the sequel to last year’s blockbuster benefit for Dogs for the Deaf, on October 27th fans of Fidos and famous faces gathered at the Wilshire Country Club in Los Angeles for Hooray for HollyWOOF 2.

The guest list included such animal-loving luminaries as Academy Award winner/Switched at Birth star Marlee Matlin; True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer van Straten and her husband, musician Abri van Straten; Switched at Birth stars Lea Thompson, Constance Marie and Ryan Lane; David Faustino from the 80s-90s sitcom classic Married…with Children; Elaine Hendrix, actress and founder of The Pet Matchmaker; actress Victoria Summer from the upcoming movie Saving Mr. Banks; and Dogs for the Deaf Advisory Board member Betty White, who pledged to match every $1,000 donation contributed during the event, up to $25,000.

Hooray for HollyWOOF 2 helped to raise funds for, and awareness of, Dogs for the Deaf. Marking its 36th year in 2013, the non-profit organization saves the lives of shelter dogs and trained them for their vital roles as assistants to those with hearing impairment or autism.
