She may set tongues wagging with her Page Six reports, but on December 8th gossip columnist Cindy Adams– along with her four-legged friends Jazzy and Juicy– will once again make tails wag as hosts of the fifth annual Blessing of the Animals.
Presented this year by The New York Post and co-sponsored by Best Friends Animal Society, the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and the Baker Institute for Animal Health, pet parents are invited to bring their barking buddies or purring pals to the non-denominational service at Christ Church in New York City.
Rescue pets, farm animals and the four-legged members of the New York Police Department will receive a benediction from the house of worship’s Senior Minister Stephen Bauman and Central Synagogue’s Senior Rabbi Peter J. Rubinstein as the choir from St. Raymond Elementary School provides a seasonal soundtrack.
A free happening with heart, those who have been blessed with the love of a furry, finned or feathered friend are invited to donate a toy for the dogs and cats who are waiting for forever families at NYC Animal Care and Control or make a contribution to the paws cause.
Note: All animals must be accompanied by a guardian. Seating will be first come, first served.
When: December 8, 2013 at 2 p.m.
Where: Christ Church at 520 Park Avenue in Manhattan
Starting at 4:05, Cindy Adams promotes the Blessing of the Animals in the following video.:
