Stepping off of the ice and in front of a camera, members of the Pittsburgh Penguins recently showed their dogged devotion for companion animals by posing for a paws cause.

James Neal, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang were among the players who teamed up with photogenic Fidos and felines from The Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania for a calendar that will help to create a brighter tomorrow for dogs and cats who are counting the days until their find forever homes.

Available for $20, all of the proceeds from the 2014 Penguins & Paws calendar will benefit the Animal Rescue League Shelter & Wildlife Center, which has provided comfort and care for both companion animals and animals in the wild since 1909.
