Tampa Bay Rays Help Pet Pal Animal Shelter with 2014 Calendar

PlayersPitching the option of pet adoption, members of the Tampa Bay Rays have stepped up to the plate to help a no-kill shelter by stepping in front of the camera with the pups who play on their own home teams.

The 12-month 2014 Players & Pooches baseball calendar features the following sports stars and their Spots:

Tom Foley (third-base coach, who posed with German Shepherd Ace, a retired patrol and narcotics dog who worked alongside St. Petersburg Police K-9 Officer Jeff Yaslowitz, who died in the line of duty in 2011)

Matt Joyce
Evan Longoria
Joe Madden (manager)
Jake McGee
Matt Moore
Wil Myers
David Price

Available online for $20 (includes shipping and handling) or for $15 at the Pet Pal Animal Shelter, Pet Pal Veterinary Clinic, Rays Team Store at Tropicana Field or the Rays Pro Shop and Sales Office in Tampa, all of the proceeds from the 2014 Players & Pooches calendar will benefit Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg, Florida, a non-profit which saves the lives of companion animals who are facing their fate in area shelters and educates the public about the plight of pet overpopulation, the need to spay/neuter and proper pet guardianship.
