Best Friends Facility Stars in Parks and Recreation

Best Friends Pet Adoption and Spay-Neuter Center in Los Angeles, which plays a vital role in creating a brighter tomorrow for homeless animals, will play the role of a fictitious animal shelter in an episode of an Emmy-nominated television series that will tickle funny bones and touch hearts.

Acting as the Pawnee Animal Shelter, on February 27th the facility will star in the hit NBC comedy Parks and Recreation alongside cast members Nick Offerman (known to fans as Ron Swanson) and Aubrey Plaza (who brings the character of April Ludgate to life) in the episodes “Anniversaries,” with a plot that contains a lot of puppy love as newly named Pawnee director of animal services April helps Swanson on his search to find the perfect canine companion for his stepdaughters.

Discussing Best Friends Animals Society Los Angeles’s chance to enjoy the celebrity spotlight, Executive Director (and fan of the series) Marc Peralta stated : “One of the benefits of working in Los Angeles is having incredible opportunities like ‘Parks & Recreation’ filming here, which in turn helps Best Friends promote the adoption of homeless pets. Whether you live in Pawnee or Pasadena, adoption is the best lifesaving option when it comes to adding a pet to the family.”

Tune in to check out all the tail-wagging fun on February 27th at 8:30/7:30 central on NBC.
