She’s won Emmy Awards, Golden Globes and SAG Awards for her work on The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie, and actress Edie Falco has won the admiration of dog devotees for stepping in front of the camera as the host of Shelter Me:Second Chances.
Alongside Sammie, a puppy mill survivor who landed a starring role in her heart and home, the actress unveils a look at the tales of new beginnings for both shelter pets and people in Shelter Me: Second Chances. During the hour-long episode TV viewers will take a look through a photographer’s lens during a segment which shows that a good photo can help a potential pet parent picture a shelter dog as part of their family; listen to a poet’s performance about shelter pets, and watch as kids in a juvenile detention center learn life lessons by training dogs in need.
Presented by Halo, Purely for Pets, Shelter Me: Second Chances premieres in February on PBS stations across the nation.
