Italian Greyhound Rescue Puppies to Appear in Puppy Bowl X

Fwd- PUPPY BOWL - Puppy Players & Rescue Families Avilable for Story - Interview
When doggedly devoted fans of Fidos and football huddle around their TV sets to watch Puppy Bowl X they will witness Animal Planet history in the making as the first Italian Greyhounds to be chosen to play will charge on to the pint-sized playing field.

Named in honor of NHL Blackhawks players, sports-loving Spots Sharpie and Taser are enjoying their moment in the spotlight thanks to ROMP Italian Greyhound Rescue, which saved their 10-year-old mother Kai from her life in a puppy mill. Pregnant at the time of her rescue, Kai gave birth to four bouncing baby boy pups on June 28, 2013.

Not only are Taser and Sharpie the first Italian Greyhounds to appear on Puppy Bowl, they will also be the first pups from a Chicago rescue to score a touchdown in the hearts of TV viewers when the big game airs on February 2, 2014 at 3 p.m. ET/PT.

ROMP Italian Greyhound Rescue is an all-volunteer, all foster home-based non-profit which saves both puppy mill dogs and canines who are facing their fate in kill shelters.
