Presented by Critter Lovers at Work (CLAW), an all-volunteer group dedicated to supporting the San Francisco SPCA, the cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers will receive the Champion of Compassion Award for his efforts to create a better tomorrow for people and pets through the Chris Culliver Foundation, which was established in 2012 to help both companion animals in need and inner city youth.
“I’m incredibly honored to receive this award,” said Chris Culliver. ”I’ve been a lifelong advocate for animals, and to receive this recognition from CLAW and the SF SPCA is remarkable. I’m proud to be a voice for animals in the Bay Area and beyond.”
Along with meeting the doggedly devoted sports star, attendees at the Fido-friendly Bark & Whine Ball will also enjoy a red carpet stroll with their Rover; dine on delectable dishes by McCalls Catering; drink toasts to our four-legged friends with premium wines from Boisset Wine Living; tap their feet to the beat of tunes spun by DJ Dave Kim and place bids in live and silent auctions, all for a paws cause.
Taking place March 13, 2014 at the Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion, all of the proceeds from the Bark & Whine Ball will benefit the Cinderella Fund, which pays for the medical care of the most severely ill and injured animals which find their way to the San Francisco SPCA.
Tickets: General admission ticket $150: dog ticket $20: Patron packages ranging from $325 – $5,000 are also available.
When: March 13, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
