Scott Hamilton Films Animal Rescue Corps PSA

ScottHamiltonA champion at the XIV Olympic Winter Games in 1984, figure skating great Scott Hamilton is championing a paws cause in a PSA for Animal Rescue Corps.

As a commentator at the recent games in Sochi he explained the technical complexities of skating performances to television viewers, and now the gold medalist with a heart of gold has stepped in front of the camera with Paisley– a puppy mill survivor who now has forever pet parents– to educate the public about the need to help homeless animals by volunteering, having your pet spayed or neutered, and choosing the option of adoption when adding a new furry family member to your home.

By showing his support for the ongoing efforts of Animal Rescue Corps, Scott Hamilton has followed in the footsteps of such other famous friends of Fidos and felines as Sheryl Crow, who used her Grammy Award-winning voice to raise awareness of the plight of puppy mill dogs, and actress Elaine Hendrix, who took part in ARC’s rescue of 121 puppy mill dogs in Warren County, Tennessee.

A nonprofit animal protection organization, ARC rescues animals from abusive situations and natural disasters; enlightens the public about the need to alleviate the suffering of animals, and trains and offers training and assessments for animal shelters.
