Going to bat for the sake of our barking buddies and purring pals, the Bradenton Marauders will host five Bark in the Park games during the 2014 season.
Sports fans and their Fidos can watch the Class-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates play ball for a paws cause at McKechnie Field in Bradenton, Florida on April 6th, when the team faces the Charlotte Stone Crabs, followed by the Lakeland Flying Tigers on May 13th, the Jupiter Hammerheads on June 26th, the Tampa Yankees on July 12th and the St. Lucie Mets on August 17th.
An array of Rover-related activities are also scheduled for the amusement of tail-wagging attendees and their human companions, with a canine costume contest lined up for May 13th; a Yappy Hour complete with pet parent drink specials on July 12th; an adoption night scheduled for June 26th, and the chance for dogs to tap into their inner Joe DiMaggio by running the bases post-game on April 6th and August 17th.
Game tickets are $8, with the $2 Doggy Bark Badge admission for sports-loving Spots benefiting the Humane Society of Manatee County in Bradenton, Florida.
