Sliding into home plate for the sake of animals in need of forever homes, the Durham Bulls will host three Bark in the Park games over the course of the 2014 baseball season.
Presented by Banfield Pet Hospital, baseball buffs and their barking buddies can sit in the stands in the Outfield Reserve area and watch as the Bulls goes to bat against the Norfolk Tides on April 16th. Can’t make it to the first Bark in the Park? Don’t worry, you won’t be in the dog house with your sports-loving Spot, as the boys of summer face the Indianapolis Indians on June 25th, and on August 20th the triple-A minor league team will once again go up against the Norfolk Tides for a paws cause.
Along with enjoying the game, fans and foodies who fork out a little extra for their ticket can also enjoy a two-hour all-you-can-eat picnic buffet complete with such all-American edibles as hot dogs, hamburgers, fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, chips and dip, all washed down with Pepsi products.
A happening with heart, $5 from every Bark in the Park ticket sold will benefit Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a no-kill rescue organization which has helped companion animals in need since 1987.
Tickets: $11.99 for admission for both a pet parent and their pup; a $25 ticket also includes the buffet
When: April 16th, June 25th and August 20th, 2014
