Glee’s Harry Shum Jr. Stars in Rescue Waggin’: Tales from the Road

GleeAs high school hoofer Mike Chang on the hit Fox series Glee he’s dazzled TV viewers with his dance steps, and now actor Harry Shum, Jr. has his doggedly devoted fans dancing on a cloud by stepping in front of the camera to promote the option of pet adoption.

The actor introduces viewers to Charlie, the stray who waltzed away with his heart, at the beginning of episode five of the eight-part PetSMart Charities web series Rescue Waggin’: Tales from the Road.

The Glee cast member is the latest luminary to make an appearance in the PetSmart Charities web series. Veronica Mars‘s Kristen Bell, So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman, rocker Bret Michaels and comedienne Rita Rudner have also shown their support through their cameos in the web series’ segments.

The chronicle of traveling tail-waggers who have trekked 600 miles from Missouri to Animal Humane Society in Minnesota in a Rescue Waggin’ vehicle for the chance to find forever pet parents continues as the adorable adoptables are spayed/neutered and pose for photos that will increase their odds of landing starring roles with loving families.

Produced by DakotaKid Media, the production company owned by actor Josh Duhamel (who also narrates the webisodes), Rescue Waggin’: Tales from the Road shines a spotlight on the PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin’ program, which has saved the lives of 70,000 companion animals since its start in 2004.
