JoshDuhamelIn Rescue Waggin’: Tales from the Road he’s narrated the journey of 21 dogs who traveled 600 miles to find their forever families, and in the final installment of the web series actor Josh Duhamel steps in front of the camera to explain why he has become a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Not realizing the problem of pet overpopulation when he bought his beloved dachshund Zoe from a breeder, the actor confesses that the scolding he received on the set of his former series Las Vegas opened his eyes to the plight of homeless animals. Choosing the option of pet adoption when he welcomed his rescue dog Meatloaf into his heart and home, his love for his late four-pawed pal prompted him to become involved in animal rescue.

Partnering with PetSmart Charities, Duhamel’s production company, Dakotakid Media, launched the eight-part web series Rescue Waggin: Tales from the Road, and in the last webisode viewers watch as Isaiah– the last remaining Rover from the pack that traveled in one of PetSmart Charities’ Rescue Waggin’ vehicles during one of its frequent life-saving trips from Missouri to Minnesota– finds a forever pet parent to love.
