The Voice’s Will Champlin Sings about Pet Adoption

ChamplinSinger Will Champlin, who won the title of third place on the fifth season of the hit NBC crooning competition The Voice, has won the admiration of dog devotees for using his voice to raise people’s spirits as he raises awareness about pet adoption.

The music video for the original song “Your Forever Home” is the crescendo to PetSmart Charities’ Rescue Waggin’: Tales from the Road, an eight-part web series which not only chronicles the 600-mile trip of 21 traveling tail-waggers from Carthage Humane Society Joplin, Missouri to Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, Minnesota, but also the dogs’ emotional journey as they found forever pet parents to love.

The video includes appearances by some of the Spot-loving stars who introduced segments of the web series, including actress Kristen Bell, Glee star Harry Shum, Jr., So You Think You Can Dance judge Adam Shankman, entertainment reporters Ben Lyons and Leeza Gibbons, comedienne Rita Rudner and Josh Duhamel, who narrated the web series, which was launched thanks to a partnership between the actor’s production company (Dakotakid Media) and PetSmart Charities.

The celebrity cameos help to highlight the true stars of the webisodes– all of the compassionate people who helped the homeless dogs on each leg of their journey, and the pups who are now among the more than 70,000 dogs who have been given the gift of a new lease on life since the PetSmart Charities’ Rescue Waggin’ program began in 2004.
