Stepping up to the plate to help homeless pets, the Washington Nationals will host four Pups in the Park games during the 2014 season.
Pet parents and their pooches will be sitting in the catbird seat when they take their places in the Family Picnic Area near section 143 to cheer on their favorite team, with “Pet Sitters” available in the landing area if a guardian needs to leave the designated section.
If you miss the Washington Nationals’ first Pups in the Park of the season on April 19th, you won’t be in the doghouse with your sports-loving Spot, as the team will also go to bat for the paws cause on May 17th, when they take on the New York Mets; June 22nd, when they go up against the Atlanta Braves, and September 7th, when they face the Philadelphia Phillies.
A happening with heart, $8 from each dog ticket sold will benefit the Washington Humane Society.
Tickets: $25 for each human ticket, $10 for a dog ticket
When: April 19, 2014, starting at 1:05 p.m.
Where: Nationals Park at 1500 South Capitol Street SE in Washington, DC
