BobBarkerThe Price is Right with the signature sign off “Help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered,” and CBS will once again shine a spotlight on Bob Barker’s mission of spreading the message to help canines and cats in need when the all-time king of game shows makes a cameo appearance on The Bold & The Beautiful.

Taking part in a three-episode story arc, CBS has unleashed the news that the high-profile pal to all with paws will portray himself as he is interviewed by the character of Liam Spencer (actor Scott Clifton) for an article about the subject of pet overpopulation.

Urging his interviewer to “come on down” to a local animal shelter, the storyline continues at the South Los Angeles Animal Shelter with appearances by Brandon McMillan from the CBS Saturday morning rescue-themed series Lucky Dog; Los Angeles City Councilman Bernard Parks; the compassionate crew of shelter volunteers, and the stars of the story arc– the shelter’s dogs and cats.

During filming three adorable adoptables landed starring roles in the hearts and homes of CBS cast and crew members, with Laura Yale, The Bold and The Beautiful‘s stage manager, adopting a dog she has dubbed Molly; Edward Scott, the daytime drama’s Supervising Producer and his wife, actress Melody Thomas Scott (known to soap fans as Nikki on The Young and The Restless) welcoming a pup they’ve named Reilly into their fur family; and actor Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer on B&B),  giving a forever home to a cat he’s named Walter White.

The Bold and The Beautiful‘s adoption-themed episodes will air from April 30th – May 2nd on CBS.
