“Doris Day’s Best Friends” Helps Animals in Need

DorisDayFor decades she’s helped animals in need start new chapters in their lives, and now fans of Fidos and famous faces can help Doris Day’s paws cause as they flip through the pages of the new book, Doris Day’s Best Friends.

Featuring more than 200 color and classic black and white photographs, the just-released softcover  takes dog devotees on a “Sentimental Journey” to see some of the many four-leggers who have played starring roles in the entertainment legend’s life, from the Spots who shared screen time with the actress/singer in the movies and on television, to candid snapshots with the canine companions who have brightened Doris’s days.

The 150-page paperback also includes an introduction by Doris Day and a foreword by another treasured animal-loving luminary, Betty White.

All of the proceeds from the book will benefit the Doris Day Animal Foundation, which was established by the star in 1978.
