The Most Interesting Man in the World recently stepped into his real life role as a pet parent to invite fellow friends of Fidos and felines to join in the Morris Animal Foundation‘s ongoing efforts to make great strides in the ongoing struggle against a disease that has taken too many of our furry friends too soon.
Co-starring with Willy, his Anatolian Shepherd, the actor is promoting the noted non-profit’s Unite to Fight Virtual Pet Walk, taking place on June 22nd.
“Too many families, mine included, have lived through the heartbreak of the loss of our pets,” the star states in a video for the paws cause. “That’s why I am participating in the Morris Animal Foundation Virtual Pet Cancer Walk. I believe in the work that they are doing through prevention, treatment and research.”
Pet parents can participate by registering and setting up a personal fundraising page. In thanks for signing up, you will receive a bandanna for your barking buddy and a “Unite to Fight Pet Cancer” decal. (Participants who raise a minimum of $150 will become a member of the #UniteToFight club, which includes a Morris Animal Foundation Supporter T-shirt.)
Although Unite to Fight is a virtual campaign, participants need only look at the interactive map on the event’s homepage to see that there are walkers across the country who will be taking steps to end pet cancer by taking a stroll with their Spot on June 22nd.
