Lexington Legends Help PAWS with Bark in the Park

BarkBaseball buffs and their barking buddies are invited to watch the Lexington Legends play ball for a paws cause.

While the Legends’ first Bark in the Park presentation is now history, sports fans who didn’t take their tail-wagging chum out to the old ball game in April won’t be in the dog house with their Fidos for long, as Rovers will have the chance to root for the home team as they help homeless pets on May 24th, when the Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals take on the Savannah Sand Gnats; on June 1st when they face the Augusta GreenJackets; on July 2nd when they go to bat against the Greenboro Grasshoppers, and on August 14th when they step up to the plate in a game against West Virginia Power.

Pups and their pet parents can watch the game from Section 214 of Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Presented by IncrediPet, the second Bark in the Park of the season on May 24th will include a pooch parade, adorable adoptables from area shelters and rescue groups contests, giveaways and the tail-wagging talent of Jake the Diamond Dog.

A happening with heart, proceeds from each $2 dog ticket at every Lexington Legends’ Bark in the Park game will benefit Paris Animal Welfare Society (P.A.W.S.), a non-profit organization founded in 1997 which helps to find forever homes for companion animals in the area of Bourbon County, Kentucky.
