Celebrating the debut of the popular radio/TV show Music City Roots at its new home by helping a rescue organization’s ongoing efforts to find forever homes for Nashville’s dogs in need, music icons will set the stage for a better tomorrow for our four-legged friends when they take the stage at Liberty Hall in The Factory at Franklin on July 9th.
Having recently won a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell will win the admiration of animal lovers as they, along with Verlon Thompson and Humming House, raise their voices in support of Bonaparte’s Retreat Dog Rescue.
Established by entertainer Emmylou Harris in 2004, Bonaparte’s Retreat– which was named in loving memory of the singer’s late canine companion– saves the lives of dogs who are in danger of facing their fate in a Nashville animal shelter.
