Daytona Cubs to Host Dog Day on August 29th

Dogs-in-baseball-uniformsHelping homeless dogs and cats who have been thrown a curveball in life, the Daytona Cubs will host Dog Day on August 29th.

Baseball buffs are invited to bring their barking buddies out to the old ball game to cheer on the home team as they take on the Tampa Yankees at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

Hitting a home run in the hearts of their doggedly devoted fans, the minor league team have already stepped up to the plate for a paws cause this season. As with the previous game, proceeds from sales of $2 dog tickets will benefit the Halifax Humane Society— a non-profit organization in Daytona Beach, Florida which provides care for approximately 350 companion animals each day.

When: August 29, 2014
