Quinn Cummings to Attend Doggie Street Festival in L.A.

PetSoundsA star of the 1970s series Family is scheduled to make an appearance at the largest festival in Southern California to focus on finding forever families for Fidos and felines in need.

On July 20th actress/humorist Quinn Cummings will be at the Doggie Street Festival in Los Angeles, signing copies of “Pet Sounds,” a book which not only chronicles her life with various members of her four-legged family members, but also helps homeless dogs and cats in L.A. turn the page to a new chapter in their lives with a portion of sale proceeds benefiting Sante D’Or Adoption Center.

The star, who was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in The Goodbye Girl, will join fellow authors of animal-themed tomes at the Pet Book Pavilion, among them celebrity veterinarian Karen “Doc” Halligan, who will autograph copies of her tutorial for keeping canines and cats in tip top shape, “Doc Halligan’s What Every Pet Owner Should Know: Prescriptions for Happy, Healthy Cats and Dogs”; former “Today” show correspondent Diana Alvear, who will sign copies of “Sal, Everybody’s Pal“– the tale of a shelter kitten which teaches compassion to young readers; and Teresa J. Rhyne, the author of the New York Times bestseller “The Dog Lived (and So Will I).”

Doggie Street Festival attendees will also enjoy an array of activities, including a special kids area, live music, shopping for pet-related products, and the chance to meet adorable adoptables from the following rescue organizations:
