They’ve gone to bat for the sake of our barking buddies and purring pals four times this season, and thanks to the “pup”ularity of the games with their doggedly devoted fans the Washington Nationals will once again play ball for a paws cause as they host a fifth Pups in the Park event on September 24th.
As with previous Fido-friendly games, baseball buffs and their barking buddies can sit in the Outfield Reserved Section from 140 – 143, where they can cheer on the home team as they take on the New York Mets. For pet parents who need to leave the designated section, “Pet Sitters” will be available in the landing area.
The Nationals are once again stepping up to the plate to help the Washington Humane Society, which will receive proceeds from sales of the event’s $10 dog tickets. Established in 1870, the Washington Humane Society is the only Congressionally-chartered animal welfare agency in the country.
Tickets: $25 human ticket; $10 dog ticket
When: September 24, 2014, starting at 7:05 p.m.
Where: Nationals Park at 1500 South Capitol Street SE in Washington ,DC
