Food Network Star Helps Animal Rescue

20673906A celebrity chef with a hunger to help animals in need, Katie Lee– who recently tasted victory on the Food Network’s cuisine-themed competition, Chopped— has created a recipe for a better tomorrow for homeless pets by dishing out her winnings from the show’s special charity-inspired holiday episode to a paws cause.

Little Victories Animal Rescue, which counts Lee’s mother among its group of dedicated volunteers, is receiving a $10,000 donation thanks to the star of The Food Network series The Kitchen, West Virginia Metro News reports.

Founded in 2003, Little Victories Animal Rescue is a no-kill shelter in Ona, West Virginia which rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes abandoned dogs and cats, and offers a haven for animals who cannot be adopted.
