Vote for People’s Choice Award Winner! #HolidayWishes

Giving the present of a better future to dogs and cats in need, the Petco Foundation (in partnership with Petco) will be giving Santa a helping hand during the festive season by delivering a total of $765,000 in grant awards to various animal welfare organizations through its fifth annual Holiday Wishes campaign.

The rescues and shelters won the honor thanks to pet parents from coast to coast who nominated organizations which united them with their furry family members. Thousands of adopters wrote in with inspirational accounts of how their adopted dog or cat companion has enriched their lives, with 52 entrants receiving a Petco gift card for up to $1,000. The selected stories are now finalists in the Holiday Wishes campaign, which offers one $100,000 grand prize as well as awards ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 to support the organizations highlighted by the winning entrants.

What a great collection of stories! I hope it will not only help raise money for animal rescues, but will also encourage people to adopt.
