Like everyone, we’re really watching our money these days and that includes our donation dollars as well. We want to make sure when we donate to an animal welfare cause that the money will be well spent and benefit the animals that are really being hard hit by this economic downturn.
Knowing which causes are good options for your hard-earned donation money is difficult, though. We’re excited to be a part of the 2010 Great Animal Welfare Campaign over at GreatNonprofits.org. Have you checked it out? They’re looking for reviews–good and bad–of animal welfare nonprofits so you’ll better know where to donate your money.
We’ve just received an update on the progress of this month’s campaign. If you have had a recent experience with an animal welfare nonprofit, be sure to share it. This site is sort of like Trip Advisor for nonprofits…it gives you a voice to share your experiences to benefit others. And if you work with a nonprofit, be sure your organization is listed so donors past and present can add their reviews!
