Wordless Wednesday: Irie & Her Toys

We wanted to share this photo of Irie sleeping on the couch with her toys. She *loves* her toys! Irie uses them as pillows, she carries them from room to room, she “retrieves” them (without asking) for us and always likes to bring us a toy when we’re having breakfast.
It makes me so happy that Irie is able to enjoy lots of toys (even if many of them are thrift store children’s toys). When we adopted Irie two years ago, she sat completely quiet during the adoption paperwork process…and then she spied a box of toys in the corner of the shelter office. She crept over to try to take out a toy…and I promised her then that she’d soon have plenty of toys. She definitely has and has never grown tired of them!
