June 5: The Week Ahead

We hope everyone’s having a great weekend and enjoying some fun with their dogs! We got up early this morning and took the dogs on a long walk before the heat set in…before noon we were looking at this on our front porch as we head on up to 100 degrees again today. (We’re trying to build a catio here–we’ve been writing about it over on CatTipper–but this heat doesn’t help much!)

We’ve got some great giveaways coming up this week (both here and on CatTipper) but don’t forget to enter our PetSmart $50 gift card giveaway; it ends Wednesday at noon. And you’ve just got a day left to enter the giveaway for a one-month supply of Eukanuba food for your dog; that giveaway ends Monday night!

By June 7, be sure to nominate your favorite shelter or rescue to win a $1,000 donation from Pedigree! Starting on June 8, we’ll post a ballot and the readers of DogTipper will select which shelter or rescue will win!

Speaking of Facebook, if you’re on DogTipper.com’s Facebook page, you may have noticed that we’re now auto-posting our links instead of just posting selected links. This past week, we (along with some other pet and mommy blogs) were hit with a restriction so we can no longer post our own links on our own wall. This auto-posting gets around that problem.

Update: It’s 10:30pm on Sunday and our Facebook status seems to be restored to normal!! Thanks to everyone for all your help! Woof!
